Fp&A Manager (R&D)
Lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for global R&D organization, ensuring financial discipline, transparency, and decision support. Serve as primary finance partner to R&D leadership, providing insights on investment, risk, speed-to-market, and cost management. Manage R&D FP&A activities including operating expense and headcount planning, capital and investment tracking, and ROI analysis. Guide R&D leaders through scenario analysis, planning assumptions, and trade-offs to align with enterprise financial objectives. Develop models to assess financial impacts, capacity utilization, and risk exposure across R&D projects and pipelines. Lead, coach, and develop Financial Analysts supporting R&D, setting expectations for excellence and analytical rigor. Deliver clear and actionable financial reports to FP&A leadership and executive stakeholders. Drive continuous process improvement and partner with corporate FP&A on standardization and system enhancements.
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance roles. Experience partnering with R&D teams. Experience working in a regulated industry. Experience operating in a global, matrixed organization. Expert-level financial planning, forecasting, and analytical skills. Strong understanding of R&D cost structures, portfolio economics, and capitalization concepts. Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through complexity. Demonstrated leadership, judgment, and accountability mindset.
