Director of Supply Chain
Location: Tulsa, OK, US, 74107 Business Unit: Maintenance & Repair North America
The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for the success and effectiveness of all Supply Chain Management activities for the business including purchasing, inventory control, production control, scheduling, planning, warehouse, shipping and customer delivery support and meeting strategic priorities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, standardize, and implement the planning/provisioning methodology and supply chain processes across the Region.
- Manage department personnel activities related to forecasting materials, material planning, buying, procurement, receipt, storage, and inventory control.
- Provides support to production scheduling on all material flow issues to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
- Negotiates with material vendors on sourcing, pricing, and material availability.
- Interfaces with internal management team and others on the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments.
- Uses equipment and materials properly. Reports potentially unsafe conditions.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs.
- The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor's Degree required APICS / CPIM certification preferred
Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in Aviation/MRO materials management role. Experience working with suppliers and vendors. Strong negotiations skills and experience.
Qualifications
Proven leadership and management experience to lead departments responsible for purchasing, planning, warehouse, and logistics. Strategic mindset with regard to master planning and inventory management. Must be very analytical and metric focused. Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems. Proven team player who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: excellent communication, presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills, well developed problem-solving skills; solid organizational skills; and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively relate to all levels of an organization. Looking for a hands-on individual with the ability to see the big picture. Ability to work well under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to set goals and objectives to meet Business Unit expectations. The right person will be ambitious and flexible who wants to learn and grow professionally. Must read, write, and speak English fluently.

Typical Working Conditions
Work will be conducted mostly indoors in an office type environment. Exposure to heat or cold will mostly be limited to when walking from one building to another or if bay doors have been opened to allow for shipping and receiving activities. The use of PPE such as safety glasses and safety toed shoes are required in designated working areas.
