The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities

General Purpose: The Project Manager I will oversee the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of the Sustaining Change Project including the Leadership Initiative for Transformation (LIFT) initiative, dedicated to fostering resilience, leadership development, and health equity in under-supported communities. This role will be responsible for managing, project planning, resource allocation, progress tracking, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring the successful implementation of the Sustaining Change Project and embedded initiatives. Additionally, the Project Manager I will supervise and mentor a Project Assistant, providing guidance on day-to-day tasks, professional development, and project execution. Under the guidance of senior leadership for Sustaining Change, the Project Manager will define program goals, monitor impact, and implement strategies to maximize community engagement and sustainability.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of projects under Sustaining Change, such as Learning Collaboratives, ongoing trainings within the community and more broadly, and the Leadership Initiative for Transformation (LIFT), ensuring timely delivery of key milestones.
  • This will include coordinating project resources, including staffing, budgets, and supplies, and developing and implementing project plans and financial reports as needed.
  • Supervise and mentor a Project Assistant, delegating tasks, providing professional guidance, and ensuring productivity.
  • Ensure the Project Assistant is fully integrated into the team of trainers, managing workflow, providing feedback, and fostering professional growth.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior leadership, stakeholders, and community partners.
  • Monitor and track project progress, proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions to overcome challenges.
  • Oversee program impact assessment, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, working with the Project Director and the training teams, external partners requesting training, and funders to gather project requirements and provide updates.
  • Manage stakeholder communication from the Project Director and all of the trainers and trainees, providing clear and timely updates through reports, presentations, and meetings.
  • Support the staff within the Sustaining Change project in their efforts to develop and disseminate training and leadership opportunities for local, regional, and national communities, ensuring training participants have access to the resources they need to succeed in their efforts to build their professional development and sustainability.

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 1 years of relevant experience
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 2 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Experience in community engagement, nonprofit program management, or social impact initiatives preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong leadership, supervision, communication, and problem-solving skills preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail preferred.
