Software Technical Project Manager

BAE Systems is seeking an individual to fill the role of a Software Technical Project Manager. As a Software Technical Project Manager you will:

1. Understand software development lifecycle management from scoping and requirements defining through deployment and post launch maintenance.
2. Construct detailed plans, contracts, and manage project budgets while continuously identifying and proactively addressing program and software teams risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies.
3. Refine processes and procedures to increase teams' productivity and deliver efficiency.
4. Communicate complex engineering challenges into business requirements and vice versa.
5. Work with little direction while delivering outcomes.
6. Be able to context switch and handle the management, deficiencies, and roadblocks for a large variety of software applications.
7. Work collaboratively amongst many different teams and organizations and generate contractual documentation.

This is an exciting career opportunity to support the Air Force's acquisition of the next-generation Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) System. Pursuant to Government contract, this job requires US Citizenship status.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of related experience
• Secret Clearance
• Background in software development and project management methodologies.
• DevSecOps software Approach
• Software development (Python, React, Java, etc)
• Web applications, Desktop applications, Enterprise, and Cloud computing (AWS, Azure)
• Project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Spiral)
• SOLID design principles
• Architectural patterns (Microservices, Event- Driven Architecture, etc)
• Version control (GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, etc)

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Strong verbal/written communications skills and peer-to-leader presentations
• Experience with Agile software metrics (e.g., burnup/burndown, velocity, code coverage)
• Aerospace Software Standards (DO-178C, ARINC-653, ARINC-661, MISRA C, etc.)
• Agile/SAFe/Lean development
• Experience with software requirements development
• DevSecOps pipelines, tools and techniques operated within a cloud-based environment

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $120874 - $205486 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
