Job Title
Leads a team of category managers to develop, execute, and refine category plans for Supply Chain Indirect Sourcing, which includes products and services that are not re-saleable by Sysco and make up an annual spend of $1+ BB, and leads a team of centralized procurement and administrative professionals throughout the Sysco global enterprise -- with the goal of achieving reductions in total cost of ownership and improving product quality and supplier delivery and service levels in order to contribute to Sysco's financial goals; Manages strategic relationships and internal communications with suppliers and stakeholders to develop continuous improvement initiatives and implementation plans; Interfaces with key stakeholders from the executive floor to the shop floor across functions as varied as Marketing, HR (Human Resources), Merchandising, and Supply Chain, among others; Demonstrates flexibility in strategy and approach; for example, dealing with commodity products such as fuel, complex technical products such as tractors and trailers, customer-facing services such as customer-print publications, and resolving delivery and quality issues.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Researching / analyzing spend, industry dynamics/trends, and stakeholder requirements of indirect categories -- a strategic formulation
- Partnering with Indirect Sourcing Program operations (ISP) and other resources to conduct sourcing events (RFx) for fleet, facility, and other operational categories.
- Implementing results, including the development of short-list and recommendation of supplier(s) selection, negotiation, agreement of contractual terms and conditions, piloting and transition plans & strategic implementation
- Reviewing categories through scorecards (cost/performance), financial forecasting, periodic reporting of status, stakeholder feedback, supplier business reviews, demand management, improvement initiatives, updates of products and pricing strategic review
- Driving innovation and partnership with suppliers to improve category total cost of ownership, create efficiencies, support business transformation, and improve field user experience
- Centralizing procurement for relevant categories through the application of proper receipt, relieve, and replenishment models

Required Minimum Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred
- 7 - 10 years overall professional experience
- Functional knowledge of procurement, sourcing and/or category management; Strong Excel skills (e.g., basic financial modeling, pivot tables, able to navigate large data sets)
- Direct management experience

Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment
- This position will be performed from the Corporate HQ.
- Must be able to travel to Sysco facilities and supplier locations.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
