Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at Beaufort Nursing and Rehab in Beaufort, South Carolina. As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their highest level of independence and function. Responsibilities:
Communicate with patients, clients, and team members, and maintain documentation of services in the medical record
Demonstrate a positive attitude and team building approach with all patients, clients, and team members
Consistently attend work and provide appropriate notice for scheduled paid time off
Maintain productivity standards and demonstrate consistent knowledge of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations
Essential Functions:
Treat patients according to treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist, record clinical documentation, and record daily treatment charges
Instruct families and nursing staff regarding restorative/home programs, participate in discharge planning, and communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress and problems
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and other meetings as required or directed
