Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP PEDS) — Oakland, CA. This position involves providing specialized speech and language therapy services to pediatric patients in an acute care setting. Job Details

• Certifications: BLS, CCC-SLP, CA SLP License; required for practice
• Education Requirements: Appropriate degree in Speech Language Pathology and licensure in California
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, including hospital settings; at least 1 year of hospital experience preferred
• Location Requirements: California-based license; experience working in pediatric or acute care settings preferred
• Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week
• Additional Information:Conduct assessments and provide therapy for pediatric patients with speech and language disordersUtilize age-appropriate communication strategies and alternative communication devices if neededPerform bedside swallow evaluations and modified barium swallow studiesDocument therapy progress and contribute to the plan of care using electronic charting systems such as EpicWork within a multidisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social servicesParticipate in patient education and discharge planning
