Position Overview

The Field Technician II is a dual-qualified role combining mechanical maintenance and electronic systems expertise. Two (2) Field Technician II team members will be recruited to provide complementary coverage and ensure continuous operational capability.

Duties of the Field Technician II include but are not limited to the following:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair ALL equipment used on location, including both mechanical and electronic/electrical systems.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of mechanical systems (gearboxes, conveyers, bearings, pumps) and electrical/control systems (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, contactors, transformers) commonly found in oil and gas equipment.
  • Play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of equipment that drives the overall success of ASOG.
  • Interact with ASOG team members, other on-site service providers, and customers in a professional and friendly manner, addressing inquiries and concerns while delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by always adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Promote a safety-conscious culture within the team.
  • Assist with rigging up and rigging down of equipment.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and documentation of preventative and routine maintenance programs.
  • Help drive achievement of operational KPIs.
  • Be willing and flexible to travel to various locations as required by the job.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager and Sr. Operations Manager.
