Job description

Supply Chain Analyst

Location: Secaucus, NJ (Hybrid)

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Supply Chain Analyst to support order fulfillment, service performance, inventory visibility, and operational reporting across North America.

This role serves as a critical link between Sales, Customer Service, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Distribution, and Supply Chain functions, driving alignment between customer demand, inventory availability, and order fulfillment. The position is responsible for ensuring timely order execution, proactive backlog management, inventory visibility, and continuous improvement of service-level performance.

The ideal candidate is a highly reliable and proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment. They take ownership of issues from identification through resolution, can effectively manage multiple competing priorities, and are comfortable making data-driven decisions in situations where customer needs, supply constraints, and business priorities can change quickly. This role requires sound judgment, adaptability, and strong follow-through to ensure critical activities are completed accurately, on time, and with a high degree of accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment & Service Performance

  • Monitor daily order flow and fulfillment performance across multiple channels.
  • Analyze and manage backorders, supply constraints, allocation priorities, and order aging.
  • Partner with Customer Service, Sales, and Distribution teams to ensure timely order execution.
  • Identify service risks and develop action plans to improve OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance.
  • Support customer order prioritization and resolution of fulfillment issues.

Supply Chain Analytics & Reporting

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance operational dashboards and KPI reporting.
  • Track and analyze key metrics including OTIF, backlog, fill rate, inventory performance, and service levels.
  • Create visibility into inventory depletion trends, projected stockouts, backlog exposure, and service-level risks.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Support weekly and monthly business reviews with data-driven insights.

Planning & Inventory Coordination

  • Partner with Demand Planning and Supply Planning teams to identify inventory risks, supply constraints, and service-level impacts.
  • Support backlog prioritization and allocation decisions based on demand, supply, and inventory availability.
  • Analyze demand and supply trends to proactively identify risks to customer service performance.
  • Perform inventory risk assessments by analyzing demand trends, inventory depletion rates, incoming supply, and customer commitments.
  • Assist in balancing customer commitments with inventory availability and operational capabilities.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Improve visibility across orderbook, inventory, and fulfillment activities.
  • Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring operational issues.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support initiatives that enhance service levels, inventory management, and supply chain execution.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to streamline KPI monitoring, data preparation, reporting, and routine operational processes.
  • Support the adoption of new technologies and analytical tools that improve supply chain decision-making.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 35 years of experience in supply chain, fulfillment, operations analytics, customer operations, or related fields.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, Power Query, and complex analytical functions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause investigation skills.
  • Experience managing large datasets and translating findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • SAP ERP experience (SAP S/4HANA preferred).

Preferred

  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other business intelligence and visualization tools.
  • Experience leveraging AI-powered tools and workflow automation solutions to improve operational visibility, automate reporting, streamline KPI monitoring, and reduce manual effort across supply chain processes.
  • Experience supporting supply chain, planning, fulfillment, distribution, or operations organizations.

Success Measures

  • Improvement in OTIF and service-level performance.
  • Reduction in backlog and order aging.
  • Reduction in inventory-driven backorders and stockout events.
  • Increased visibility into inventory depletion risks and proactive mitigation of service disruptions.
  • Increased visibility through dashboards, reporting, and automation.
  • Timely identification and resolution of operational issues.
  • Improved cross-functional alignment between Sales, Customer Service, Planning, and Distribution teams.
