Spanish Triage Examiner The Intel Sector is seeking experienced Spanish and Chinese Triage Examiners to perform media exploitation (MEDEX) and triage in the National Capital Region. Candidates should have strong linguistic operations experience, document and media exploitation (DOMEX) skills, and advanced computer systems aptitude for triage examination projects. Primary Responsibilities Perform data discovery on large foreign‑language datasets and identify essential elements of information. Convert, reformat, parse, and exploit media files using customer tools to ensure compatibility and readability for translation systems. Prepare files and metadata for transfer to translation systems, including review of foreign‑language data. Produce a report of findings and disseminate to customers, analysts, and liaison officers. Prepare accurate written gists, translations, and/or transcriptions of general and technical material. Maintain project momentum independently while meeting deadlines in a high‑paced environment. Required Qualifications Native‑level proficiency in English. Two years of experience in Spanish and Chinese linguistic operations, and two years in media examination for DOMEX projects. Operational experience with Spanish/Chinese languages. Score of 3/3 in Reading and Listening for Spanish/Chinese and 3+/3+ for Reading and Listening in English. BA degree or equivalent experience, or a master’s degree with two years of relevant experience. Ability to compose succinct, accessible summarizations of highly technical subjects. Outcomes‑based problem solving of ill‑defined and abstract problems. Strong communication skills (email, spoken, written) and ability to make sound decisions under stress. Familiarity with report writing for DOD and IC consumers. Proficiency with standard computer systems and office programs; experience with media examination tools is an advantage. Willingness to perform occasional shift work to meet mission demands. Clearance Must possess an active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. Current or recent SCI‑level access is a significant advantage and preferred. Must be able to pass a polygraph and subject interview. Preferred Qualifications Native‑level proficiency in either language. Graduate of the Defense Language Institute Spanish or Chinese Course. Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, Law, Medicine, Banking, Forensics, or related fields. Familiarity with Digital Forensics/eDiscovery/DOMEX processes and specialized tools such as FTK or EnCase. Past performance as a media examiner for DOD or IC customers.
