Description Job Number: 2026-00790 Position Number: 0004LECX Title: CASUAL – Lecturers in Statistics and/or Information Systems Management (ITM) Position Number: CASUAL LECTURER Hiring Unit: Shidler College of Business Information Technology Management (ITM) Department Location: University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu HI Date Posted: 04/16/2026 Salary Information: Commensurate with education and experience, minimum salary, $2,053 per credit hour Monthly Type: 9-Month Temporary/Permanent: Temporary Other Conditions: (if applicable) For placement in lecturer pool for Fall 2026 and future semesters, day and/or evening courses, including Outreach extension and summer courses. Contingent upon registration, position availability, course offerings, departmental need, and funding. Lecturer positions are part-time, non-tenure. Lecturers are required to reside in and teach from Hawaii. For information about the program, visit: https://www.shidler.hawaii.edu/mkt/about Duties and Responsibilities To teach one or more courses within a range of topics including: BUS310– Statistics for Business Decisions BUS311– Information System for Global Business Decisions BUS619– Data Analytics and Statistics for MBA ITM321– Project Management ITM354– Computer and Data Systems ITM433– Advanced Security ITM680– Project Management, IT, and Change ITM683– Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Responsible for conducting all scheduled classes; meeting course requirements as established by the department/program, preparing course syllabus, grading, maintaining weekly office hours and being accessible to students. Minimum Qualifications Proven ability to teach at the college/university level. Proven ability to teach at the college/university level Desirable Qualifications PhD degree in Statistics, MIS, Operations Management, or related field Private or nonprofit sector work experience in the ITM area. Teaching experience in English writing and/or general business or other topics listed under teaching duties and responsibilities. Evidence of teaching ability in one or more of the areas listed under teaching duties and responsibilities.
