High School English Teacher Glassboro Public Schools is seeking a High School English Teacher. Candidates must be willing to obtain a Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certificate. Tuition reimbursement is available. Qualifications MUST HOLD A K‑12 English Cert or TOH Cert. NOTE: Those who hold a Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification are welcome to apply, provided they also hold a secondary certification as required by the state. Responsibilities Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials, delivering individualized and group instruction to meet the needs of each pupil as stated on the Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Assess students’ progress regularly using tests, curriculum measurements, observation skills, and/or modified‑adapted assessment devices, and provide progress reports as required. Conduct education assessments. Communicate with parents through conferences, IEP team meetings, and other means to discuss pupils’ progress and the IEP. Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records, case files, etc., as required by program regulations, board policies, and federal, state, and local laws. Attend and actively participate in staff/faculty meetings and system staff development priorities. Provide input on planning instructional goals, objectives, and instructional methods for students with disabilities. Communicate with students when academic and behavioral problems arise, exchanging information regarding appropriate behavior in the learning environment. Promote a positive, welcoming atmosphere that encourages collaboration. Terms of Employment This is a ten‑month position with salary and contract terms negotiated with the Superintendent and the Board of Education.
