Lecturer Pool for Department of Public Affairs and Administration AY 24-25
DUTIES OF THE POSITION
Lecturers are needed to teach a wide range of Health Care Administration and Public Administration courses. Courses are taught primarily on weeknights.
Please note that teaching assignments at California State University, East Bay may include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and / or online.
The policy and expectation of the California State University is that all faculty members will perform all of their duties within the state of California.
RANK AND SALARY : Lecturer. Salary is dependent upon educational preparation and experience. Position appointment is subject to budgetary authorization.
The salary schedule information for the Lecturer - Academic Year Classification is available based on the following ranges :
Lecturer AY (Range 2) - $4,530 - $6,056
Lecturer AY (Range 3) - $5,405 - $11,994
Lecturer AY (Range 4) - $6,190 - $13,172
Lecturer AY (Range 5) - $7,794 - $13,797
The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.
DATE OF APPOINTMENT : Fall Semester begins August 19, 2024 and Spring Semester begins January 21, 2025.
QUALIFICATIONS : Candidates must hold (or be near completion) a PhD or DrPH in health care, health care administration / management, a PhD or DPA in public administration, or a doctoral degree in a closely related field.
Administrators and other practitioners with a MS HCA, MPH, MHA, MPA, MBA, JD or other professional degree and significant practical experience will also be considered for courses in their areas of expertise.
Teaching and course development experience is desirable, especially experience with fully online or partially online courses.
