Job Description Job Title: Global Express Captain Base Airport: Dulles Airport (IAD) The Role We are seeking a professional, mature and motivated PIC with international experience to join our small but expanding flight department. The Global Express Captain ensures that all flight operations meet or exceed applicable federal regulations and company standards. As an ISBAO Stage II flight department, Strategy has been providing VVIP travel services for our company’s top executives for 15+ years. Your Focus Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the company aircraft while serving as PIC or SIC. Ensure full compliance with all applicable FAA and TSA regulations, as well as company‑specific flight standards. Maintain required pilot licensure, medical certifications and applicable training in accordance with FAA requirements and company policies. Deliver a high level of customer service while demonstrating Strategy’s culture of safety and professionalism. Coordinate with corporate security specialists as needed while planning and operating each flight. Ensure that the aircraft is airworthy, registered, and all required documentation is aboard the aircraft. Complete facility assessments to ensure the suitability of proposed airports and FBOs regarding runway, taxiway, parking, fueling, passenger transport, ramp access, services, amenities, fees, security, and customs services. Conduct thorough preflight planning, including evaluating aircraft performance, weight and balance, fuel requirements, weather, and route optimization. Make decisions and communicate changes promptly as operating conditions dictate. Complete the Strategy Flight Risk Assessment Tool prior to each flight. Ensure completion of an aircraft preflight inspection before each departure. Use pre‑flight, in‑flight, and post‑flight checklists and documentation procedures. Operate the aircraft per the Strategy Flight Operations Manual (FOM) and in accordance with published limitations. Complete all post‑flight duties, including notifying the company of any deviations. Maintain detailed knowledge of FARs, Strategy FOM, ATC procedures, and aircraft systems. Promote a safe, team‑oriented approach using Crew Resource Management techniques. Maintain a polite and professional demeanor when dealing with service providers, vendors, and the public. Record flight times, defects, and provide timely updates to maintenance personnel. Assume any duties delegated by the Director of Aviation. Qualifications Required Experience and Skills FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with Multi‑Engine Rating and Global Express type rating. First‑Class FAA Medical Certificate. Possess an FCC Radiotelephone License. Valid passport and driver’s license; able to travel domestically and internationally. Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, aircraft systems, limitations, and avionics. Demonstrated command of fundamental airmanship, including manual flying ability and precise control. You Should Also Bring The Following Current flight experience and simulator training (Pro Card highly desirable) in a large‑cabin jet. Strong situational awareness, decision‑making, and communication under pressure. Proficiency in English as required by ICAO Annex1. High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field (highly desirable). No FAA violations, accidents or incidents. Ability to complete company‑assigned training including ISBAO, MedAire, GET, or other approved safety/emergency training. International flying experience. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to pass an extensive background check.
