JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Penn State Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center is hiring Part‑time Financial Literacy Student Ambassadors at the University Park campus. Our mission is to provide students with knowledge and skills to manage financial resources effectively for a lifetime of financial well‑being. This position will focus on giving presentations and hosting workshops to increase the level of financial literacy of the student population, as well as play a pivotal role in assisting students in building strong financial behaviors. Other responsibilities will include completing a comprehensive training plan, outreach within the student body, and peer mentoring on a one‑on‑one basis. The individual will also play a role in the operations of the Sokolov‑Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center. If you are an undergraduate student and can commit to consistently working up to 20 hours per week and desire a part‑time position and/or have been awarded Federal Work‑Study according to your Financial Aid report for the academic year, then you are encouraged to apply for a position as a Financial Literacy Ambassador. Individuals from a variety of majors are welcomed and encouraged to apply. This individual will be trained, supervised, and supported by the Penn State Sokolov‑Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center staff at University Park.
