Lead Proposal Analyst – Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Division The Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Division in Frederick, MD is seeking a Lead Proposal Analyst to develop, review, and manage proposals in response to business opportunities. The role involves creating comprehensive, polished proposal documents for utilities, universities, and government customers. Responsibilities Review and process requests for proposals/quotations. Write clear, professional proposals ranging from short letter offers to 100+ page complex offers. Perform tasks related to the Business Unit’s Quote System, including monitoring follow‑ups, updating the CRM system, and staff scheduling. Engage with engineering and other groups to select the best approach and identify upgrade opportunities. Interpret commercial requirements and technical specifications to develop winning proposal strategies. Obtain bids from outside suppliers and contractors. Write and submit final quotations following established guidelines. Review and process purchase orders for operations. Support expedited customer requests as needed. Coordinate development and revision of all proposals. Act as liaison with the Contracts Department to negotiate customer contracts. Work with business development and engineering/projects teams to develop competitive pricing. Conduct or participate in proposal reviews with management. Support negotiations with clients after an offer has been submitted. Ensure adherence to solicitation and regulatory requirements, including timely submittals. Respond to RFP amendments and implement required changes. Collaborate with internal subject matter experts for content input. Prepare status reports and briefings for management; present and conduct reviews at all proposal development stages. Maintain records and documentation; track, monitor, and report data supporting proposal development. Travel may be required (site visits, bid meetings, etc.). Qualifications 4–6 years of proposal development experience in a technical field, preferably in software. B.S. degree in a technology field (E.E., C.S., or Nuclear preferred). Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines. Leadership experience on large, complex proposals. Familiarity with government contracting. Ability to build and maintain trust with business partners. Proficiency with Microsoft Office for proposal creation/editing and price estimation.
