POSITION SUMMARY TheHousekeeping Inspector is responsible for inspecting the guest rooms, public areas and facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety and service standards are consistently met. This role works closely with the Housekeeping Supervisor and Housekeeping Manager to support quality assurance, operational efficiency and guest satisfaction by identifying deficiencies and ensuring corrective action is taking promptly. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness and Granlibakken Tahoe standards Verify rooms are guest-ready and meet company quality expectations Identify deficiencies and communicate corrections to housekeeping staff and supervisor Support the Housekeeping Supervisor with daily room readiness and status updates Assist with prioritizing rooms based on occupancy and operational needs Complete inspection report and checklists accurately and timely Track room status and communicate updates to the housekeeping office and Front Desk Communicate quality trends or concerns to the Supervisor and Manager Train new employees on presentation of units and cleanliness Monitor housekeeping carts, storage areas, and linen room for organizations and cleanliness Assist the housekeepers with the assigned guest rooms, according to preset standards and procedures Duties include, but are not limited to making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning bathrooms and vacuuming Assist in all housekeeping duties, stripping of units, cleaning common areas, and running things that guests or the front desk request Replenish inventory such as house wares, and bathroom items according to preset standards and procedures Enter, respond to and close maintenance system work orders as required Report maintenance problems immediately Report damages immediately Follow established chemical procedures and key control procedures Turn in all articles found in vacated rooms immediately and handle according to lost and found procedures Provide quality customer service to all guests Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience: One (1) year previous housekeeping or hotel experience required. Skills and Competencies: Basic knowledge in computer system preferred Knowledge of cleaning equipment, methods, and chemicals required Ability to work in a team environment Must be reliable and maintain a positive and professional attitude Good English communication skills required for interaction with hotel guests and staff Bilingual is a bonus PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25-50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings as required Exposure to varying weather conditions, including cold, snow, and ice during winter months Fast-paced hospitality environment with frequent guest interaction WORK SCHEDULE AND HOURS Ability to work flexible hours Schedule may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Overtime may be required based on business needs Work schedules are subject to change based on operational demands COMPENSATION Pay range for this position: $22.00 – 24.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
