Job description
Position Summary The Lending Origination Specialist I performs a variety of administrative tasks to support the post‑close loan review of commercial, agricultural, and consumer loans, both real estate and non‑real estate, by reviewing all closing documentation systems and writing loan exceptions as applicable. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review loan closing documents for all commercial, agricultural, and consumer loans in the documentation system for policy adherence, collateral perfection, and regulatory compliance. Assist loan officers and assistants regarding clearing exceptions by communicating through email, tickets, Microsoft Teams calls, and lending system platforms. Perform exception scrubs on a quarterly basis. Research exception questions using provided resources such as credit policy and various manuals. Cross‑train to grow loan knowledge and better equip the department. Keep updated on continually changing procedures and policies. Stay current with lien perfection requirements in multiple states. Ensure all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including completion of required compliance training. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memorandums. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence and/or journals or government regulations. Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and/or legal documents. Ability to write professional correspondence. Strong attention to detail. Flexibility and the ability to multi‑task. Strong computer skills and the ability to work multiple programs at once. Excellent phone/Microsoft Teams communication skills. Ability to prioritize assignments and manage time wisely. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or its equivalents is required. Computer Skills MS Office programs.
