Terrier Transportation Inc. is seeking an experienced and driven Operations Supervisor to lead our daily operations across our asset-based transportation services. We specialize in drayage, LTL, rail and air cargo with a heavy emphasis on drayage. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and team success. 8 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise daily operations across drayage, LTL, rail and air cargo Lead dispatch operations to ensure efficient service, driver utilization, and on-time performance. Coordinate container movements, port operations, rail deliveries, and customer requirements. Oversee customer service and resolve issues promptly and professionally. Review and assist with freight rating, quoting, and pricing requests. Ensure accurate and timely billing and invoicing. Coordinate equipment and fleet maintenance to maximize availability and minimize downtime. Monitor key performance metrics and drive continuous process improvement. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and DOT regulations. Collaborate with customers, drivers, vendors, and internal teams to deliver exceptional service. Train, coach, and develop operations team members and support hiring and performance management. Handle escalated issues and make informed, timely decisions. Lead from the front, hold employees accountable, and drive results with integrity. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 3-5 years of transportation and logistics experience, preferably in an asset-based carrier environment. Strong knowledge of drayage operations, ports, container transportation, LTL, rail services, and air cargo logistics. Experience with dispatching, customer service, billing, freight rating, and equipment management. Proven leadership and team management experience. Strong organizational problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency with TMS, dispatch software, and Microsoft Office. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Self-motivated, reliable, and able to make independent decisions. Knowledge of BONDED cargo regulations and procedures. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience managing company drivers and assets. Knowledge of port operations, rail logistics, and intermodal transportation. Understanding of DOT regulations and compliance. #J-18808-Ljbffr
