Job Overview A law firm seeks a mid-level capital markets and M&A associate in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in capital market transactions and public company reporting and compliance. Responsibilities Represent issuers in public and private offerings of debt and equity securities. Interface with the SEC and other regulators. Counsel public companies on disclosure and corporate governance. Prepare Exchange Act filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and proxy statements. Manage internal and external client relationships effectively. Requirements 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Must reside in the Houston area at or prior to the time of hire. Ability to work in the office at least three business days per week. JD from an ABA-accredited law school. Licensed or eligible to become licensed in the state of Texas. Skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills. High degree of maturity and business sense. Experience with public and private company M&A is a plus.
