Anduril's Space team is at the forefront of advancing national security capabilities in the space domain. Our mission is twofold: 1) develop autonomous satellite systems and space-based platforms, and 2) deliver critical ground and orbital software infrastructure at scale. We transform products and capabilities across space command and control (C2), mission management, and space operations from early concepts into fully operational systems by partnering closely with specialist engineering, operations, and production teams. Through our integrated approach, we design and deploy space software systems using advanced algorithms, distributed architectures, and resilient infrastructuredelivering reliable, mission-critical capabilities that support operators across orbital and ground-based assets. Space Systems hires software engineers and systems engineers who are excited to build across a diverse and powerful portfoliofrom satellite operations software to space domain awareness platforms. Our teams contribute to highly capable autonomous space systems and ground software products that operate reliably in the most demanding mission environments, supporting the DOD and IC in defending our national interests in space.

Anduril is hiring Engineering Managers to lead software teams delivering mission outcomes in the space domain. Depending on level and fit, you'll lead a single high-performing team, a group of teams, or a broader portfolio spanning space C2, mission management, and satellite operations software. All of these roles combine hands-on technical leadership with people management, customer engagement, and program execution. We're looking for managers who can set technical direction, grow strong teams, and drive complex space programs from concept to operational delivery. More senior candidates will additionally own multi-team strategy, executive-level customer relationships, and portfolio-scale outcomes.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and grow software teams delivering across satellite software, ground systems, space C2, mission management, and space simulation
• Drive rigorous software development, V&V, and integration in a fast-moving space delivery environment, taking systems from prototype to production
• Partner with customers, program leadership, and cross-functional engineering to translate mission intent into a credible technical roadmap and execution plan
• Manage program executionscope, schedule, risk, and customer/capital spendon high-stakes space programs
• Attract, retain, and develop strong software engineers with (or eager to build) space domain expertise
• Set strategy across multiple teams or a portfolio, weaving customer intent, technical roadmap, and Anduril's outcomes into a long-term plan for the business line
• Operate as a senior customer-facing leader across DoD, Space Force, IC, and partner stakeholders, including executive-level engagements

Required Qualifications:

• Active U.S. Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance
• Prior experience supporting DoD or IC customers
• Experience managing software engineers and shipping complex software systems end-to-end (Designed ? Built ? Delivered)
• Working knowledge of space operations, satellite systems, and/or space C2or strong adjacent domain experience (defense, mission systems, distributed/embedded systems) plus clear motivation to go deep on space
• Engineering product background with experience building technical products in space or a closely related domain
• Track record of partnering directly with customers or program stakeholders on high-stakes deliveries
• Ability to decompose complex system problems and define scope, timelines, and milestones
• Experience working cross-functionally across engineering, product, and program disciplines
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience; strong preference for software / space systems background

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading space programs from initial concept through test and delivery to customers
• Software-centric background with integration experience against 3rd-party space systems and legacy ground infrastructure
• Software and hardware systems experience in space operations, ground systems, or satellite systems
• Experience with Space C2 systems, mission management platforms, or space domain awareness tools
• Familiarity with space software standards, modular space services architectures, and system interoperability
• Experience with space simulation, spacecraft operations, or integration with ground hardware (sensors, radars, telescopes)
• Understanding of orbital mechanics, space situational awareness, or satellite communications
• Track record of building and running a portfolio of programs spanning major customer/capital spend and/or IRAD
• Experience creating teams and org strategy and aligning them around a shared vision in the space domain
• Managing complex stakeholder relationships across government agencies, Space Force, IC, combatant commands, or international partners
• History of managing multiple enterprise-scale partners in the space domain

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
