Job Summary and Responsibilities

An RF Design Engineer main responsibilities are to design, implement, and maintain the radio frequency (RF) components of communication systems. They work closely with other engineers and technicians to ensure that communication systems meet the required specifications for quality, reliability, and performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned :

• Perform complete RF Design for 1st tier RF carrier
• Search area issuance, candidate assessment, approvals, Macro / Small Cell Designs and RF design support for bringing these solutions on-air. Redesign mature network areas to minimize capacity constraints and improve SINR while working with other areas of the network to ensure performance fixes / initiatives are in place
• Atoll experience
• Fuze experience
• Perform Macro / Small Cell Design design including antenna selection and placement, utilizing knowledge of C-band, 5G, LTE, CDMA to contribute in network design
• Create CIQs, E911 submissions, COPs etc.
• Work on new cell sites, making sure the site is properly integrated into the network and optimized for peak performance
• Work with cross-functional teams to deploy and optimize components for best efficiency and reliability
