About the DepartmentYou will be joining Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEx), which is responsible for all major expansion activities within aseptic production, solid dosage forms, finished products, fill & finish warehousing, and QC across all production areas in Product Supply. The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 20, of Novo Nordisk’s 50, employees. FFEx is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan, and build all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve the needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. Participate in local & global team to ensure new equipment & processes are designed to meet URS & IFA designed by Novo Nordisk ensuring the equipment will be ready for install & qualification as well as successful ramp up of equipment. Improve reliability of the process control systems to meet current & projected customer, business & regulatory requirements through focus on people & equipment, as well as serving as gatekeeper for standards. RelationshipsReports to Manager, Senior Manager. Essential FunctionsWork with local & global project team to ensure design of process is compliant with local & global standardsDevelop interface agreements & align requirements with equipment vendorsDevelop & implement plans to maintain & improve process control systemsSchedule & execute plans in coordination with manufacturing schedulesAssist with developing & managing expense budgets for maintaining & improving process control systemsDevelop & maintain automation standards, specifications & maintenance plansOwn self development & initiative to understand the site process control systemsSupport audits & inspections as SME for process control systemsCoach & train colleagues & stakeholders in relevant areasUtilize the appropriate cLEAN® tools within the main areas of Systematic Problem Solving, process improvement, & project managementOperate within compliance with a quality mindset that focuses on risk management & mitigationImplement effective change managementSupport Corporate, PS, local IT, & local stakeholder initiatives & projectsParticipate in the development of new SOPs, best practices, and maintenance proceduresFollow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of dutiesOther accountabilities, as assigned Physical RequirementsAbility to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. QualificationsBachelor's Degree in engineering/related field of study from an accredited university requiredMay consider a minimum of seven years of engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, &/or packaging systems requiredMay consider a High School Degree/GED with a minimum of nine years of engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, &/or packaging systems requiredMinimum of five years engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, &/or packaging systems requiredFor Logistics roles only: Warehouse automation equipment preferred (Automated storage and Retrieval Systems, Automated Guided vehicles, Autonomous Mobile Robots, and Conveyor systems)Knowledgeable in the following technologies: SAP EM, PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES, Oracle, MS SQL (databases), Historian, general controls a plus SAP EWM a plusAbility to demonstrate proven expertise (e.g., project management) in planning/organization & project execution, follow-up, & completion requiredAbility to translate high level direction into actionable tasks that deliver results using cLEAN® / Six Sigma methodologies a plus We commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.
