Job Description 2026-2027: Intermediate Math - Algebra II Teacher Location: Mustang Public Schools / Mustang High School, Mustang, Oklahoma Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at designated times unless a notified administrator/supervisor indicates otherwise. Prepare for assigned classes and provide written evidence of preparation that reflects long/short‑term goals and objectives. Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students within the district's resources. Use state and district standards to guide instruction and focus on content mastery for all students. Discern students' needs, and refer, when appropriate, to school personnel who can best provide assistance. Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and patrons concerning academic and behavioral progress. Plan and implement instructional programs/strategies to meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of students. Takes necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment and facilities. Assist administration in developing and implementing policies, rules and regulations. Demonstrate stated criteria for effective teaching performance. Attend and participate in faculty, PLC, department meetings and professional activities; serve on site/district committees as required. Accept responsibility and arrive punctually for activities and duties as assigned. Establish and maintain cooperative relations with co‑workers. Be actively involved in professional growth activities and plan collaboratively with colleagues. Maintain emotional control, physical health and personal appearance. Demonstrate fiscal responsibility with regard to school equipment and supplies. Analyze student data and assess accomplishments on a regular basis, providing progress reports as required through report cards and parent‑teacher conferences. Maintain accurate, complete and correct records and other school‑related paperwork within required timelines. Participate in Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) conferences as needed. Maintain confidentiality. Effectively integrate technology to enhance and support instruction. Abide by all district, state and federal laws, policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Physical Demands Ability to stand, walk, and squat frequently. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently. Ability to perform outside duties in inclement weather. Ability to walk or move long distances around the building multiple times each day.
