Job description

North America Campaign Specialist

We are seeking a North America Campaign Specialist to join our North America - Marketing team. This role plays a key part in developing and executing integrated demand generation and lead generation campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and revenue across the North American region. This role plays a key part in increasing the visibility and adoption of SANS training solutions, helping cybersecurity professionals access world-class learning opportunities through live, live online, and on-demand training offerings.

Working closely with regional business leaders and cross-functional teams, the North America Campaign Specialist will create and optimize marketing programs that support business objectives, generate qualified demand, and contribute to growth across the SANS training portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented marketing professional to make a meaningful impact within a growing organization and help shape how SANS engages with its customers and prospects.

Note: This is a marketing-focused role and does not include tactical event planning responsibilities.

As a North America Campaign Specialist, you will:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert in demand generation, marketing strategy, campaign development and execution, email marketing, digital marketing, and social media marketing.
  • Lead the development and execution of email and social media strategies for SANS training programs and quarterly promotional campaigns.
  • Create, manage, and maintain a comprehensive marketing content calendar for SANS training initiatives, ensuring alignment across campaigns, optimized audience targeting, and coordinated launch schedules.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align annual marketing plans, content calendars, and concurrent campaign activities.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze results, and deliver actionable insights and recommendations to North America Marketing Leadership to drive continuous optimization and growth.
  • Collaborate proactively with internal clients and business partners to ensure strategic alignment, operational efficiency, and effective execution of marketing objectives across the organization.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Every SANS employee brings something unique. For this role, we're looking for candidates with:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required.
  • 24+ years of experience in marketing, demand generation, or marketing communications.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, Pardot, Marketing Cloud) and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • Interest in emerging marketing technologies, including AI and large language models (LLMs), with a desire to expand expertise.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to measure performance, identify insights, and continuously optimize marketing programs.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing content across email, web, social media, and demand generation channels.
  • Demonstrated success executing complex, multi-channel marketing campaigns from planning through delivery.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills, including collaboration with cross-functional teams, agencies, and external vendors.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of solving problems independently while exercising sound judgment.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and drive alignment across multiple teams.
  • Creative, proactive, and self-motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes ownership of results.
  • Commitment to maintaining brand standards and ensuring consistency across all marketing communications and materials.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time to support events, onsite promotions, and customer engagement activities.
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the USA; visa sponsorship is not available.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience working or marketing live events
  • Familiarity with project management and reporting tools such as Smartsheet and Tableau
