Field Hockey Assistant Coach Position 12‑month per year, full‑time. Salary range: $63,906‑$70,000 (final offer based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications). The Field Hockey Assistant Coach supports the head coach in planning and operating the Cornell women’s field hockey program. Responsibilities include assisting with practice and games, preparation, evaluating performances and recommending individual participation in games. The assistant coach identifies, encourages, and evaluates applicant and acceptance of student athletes at Cornell in accordance with Ivy League, NCAA, and university policies as assigned by the head coach. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with up to 1 year of field hockey experience (coaching or competitive collegiate playing) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven success and potential in coaching, recruiting, and working with student‑athletes. Highly motivated, outstanding work ethic, relentless recruiter. Valid driver’s license to perform recruiting responsibilities. Knowledgeable of NCAA rules and regulations. Experience modeling values that support inclusion, belonging, and wellbeing. Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members. Preferred Qualifications 2 or more years of successful NCAA coaching experience. International coaching and/or playing experience. Proven track record of using SportsCode, Polar Team Pro, and the Apple Ecosystem. Level 2 Hockey Coaching Qualification.
