Job Summary : JOB SUMMARY

Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

POSITION HOURS

Three (3) 12-hour shifts

6 : 45 a.m. - 7 : 15 p.m.

Rotating based on unit need. No specific workdays or days off can be guaranteed.

DEPARTMENT SUMMARY

We care for adult patients aged 18 and older who are being treated for Coronary Artery Disease, Heart Failure, and Arrhythmias to name a few. Our patients are unique because they are the stepdown from our Cardiac Medicine ICU. We primarily treat patients with heart failure and acute coronary syndrome.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assists with day-to-day delivery of patient care.
• Facilitates efficient and safe patient care and flow by following work area standards.
• Serves as a liaison for communication and education of patient and family needs.
• Supports unit operations and patient flow by maintaining supplies, equipment, and unit environmental standards.
