Additionally, the Assistant Director provides strategic recommendations for the unit budget and oversee key administrative functions, including student schedule management, and general programmatic assistance.

Duties Include:

  • Implement best practices in curriculum management including maintenance of the curriculum database, ensuring alignment of course learning objectives and activities with program goals, and contribute to ongoing course development efforts alongside program leadership.
  • Team Leadership & Personnel Management
  • Directly supervise and mentor OME staff, serving as a primary leadership resource for the entire OME team.
  • Evaluate staff performance in accordance with university policy, including conducting regular performance reviews and establishing clear professional development plans.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for OME staff and stakeholders to resolve ongoing operational and administrative issues.
  • Direct Course Support
  • Provide direct administrative and management support for assigned courses.
  • Maintain learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard) and oversee the accurate tracking of OME student records, including grades, deliverables, attendance, and exceptional circumstances.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties logically related to the position.
