Job Summary This position will work directly for a Vice President and Area General Counsel of PulteGroup, Inc., and may also provide support to other attorneys and paralegals in the company’s legal department. Responsibilities include preparation of land acquisition and land sale contracts and related documents, contract summaries, title commitment reviews, title objection letters, real estate closing facilitation, deeds and other closing documents, homeowners’ association documents, maintenance of legal reports and files, assistance to division personnel, and other legal matters supporting PulteGroup’s land development and homebuilding business. Primary Job Responsibilities Prepare land acquisition and land sale contracts, amendments, escrow agreements, easements, etc. Prepare contract summaries. Review title commitments, plats, and surveys. Prepare title objection letters and resolve title issues. Assist in scheduling and facilitating real estate closings. Prepare deeds, other closing documents, and closing instruction letters. Review and prepare homeowners’ association documents. Maintain legal department reports and land acquisition files. Assist division personnel with sales and operational issues. Handle other legal matters in support of land development and homebuilding. Provide administrative support: filing, correspondence, ordering supplies, acting as notary public, scheduling meetings. Required Education and Experience Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent. Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred. Minimum five years of real estate transactional paralegal experience, including substantial experience in land acquisition, drafting acquisition contracts, reviewing title commitments and surveys, and coordinating real estate closings. Ability to understand transaction terms, assess issues, and draft appropriate provisions or modify forms. General knowledge of state and federal laws relating to real estate transactions. Experience in legal research, accessing statutes, Secretary of State records, and recorded documents. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat. PowerPoint experience a plus. Required Skills and Knowledge Positive attitude, strong work ethic, conscientious, detail-oriented. Trustworthy, dependable, self‑motivated, and resourceful. Team player who works well in a high‑energy, fast‑paced environment. Strong oral and written communication skills with courtesy and tact. Excellent interpersonal skills; able to interact with all levels of the organization, including top executives and outside counsel. Ability to represent this unit of the legal department professionally. Ability to take responsibility for projects and ensure completion. Highly organized, able to handle multiple assignments, track and meet deadlines. Ability to assess importance of matters, determine priorities, and respond to changing priorities. Accessible to division and corporate personnel; often a direct point of contact. Ability to manage work for multiple divisions. Problem‑solving and creative solution skills.
