Job Category: Mortgage Delivery Operations Requisition Number: MORTG002175 Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Columbus, Indiana Description Mortgage Delivery Closing Specialist: Responsible for preparing all closing documents and funding wires to be sent to the title company. Coordinate scheduling of loan closings with the title company and members. Maintain closing report information; follow up on returned files. Provide funded mortgage files to the Servicing Area and complete all General Ledger (GL) transfers related to each file. Compensation Starting wage: $24.42 per hour. Eligible for comprehensive benefits package. Spanish/English interpreters may be eligible for an interpreting differential. Essential Functions This position may be required to perform additional duties as requested. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform. Responsibilities Update loan information in the loan origination system prior to preparing closing documents. Process necessary documents for loan closing packages and prepare net funding data to reconcile with the title company. Coordinate the closing date and time with the title company and the Mortgage Delivery Consultant on behalf of the member. Review executed loan document packages and forward to the Servicing Area. Review and update various monthly reports. Follow up with the title company to obtain signed, completed mortgage packages and verify package completeness. Conduct pre‑closing audits for files selected by the Mortgage Delivery Closing Manager. Attend BSA/Compliance training and comply with all applicable requirements. Complete Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) requirements on all files. Education & Experience Required: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED). Under one year of similar or related experience. Preferred: Equivalent combination of education and experience or better. Under three years of similar or related experience.
