Overview Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking a corporate associate with 3-5 years of relevant experience to join the Transactions Practice Group in our Silicon Valley, San Francisco, or San Diego office. This role will involve handling a mix of emerging companies and venture capital (ECVC) financing, M&A, private equity, and general corporate counseling for publicly and privately held companies, private equity funds, and other investors and entrepreneurs. Responsibilities Handle emerging companies and venture capital financing transactions. Work on mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and other commercial transactions. Provide general corporate counseling for publicly and privately held companies, private equity funds, and other investors. Assist with capital markets transactions and public company reporting. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in venture capital/early‑stage financings, mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and other commercial transactions. Experience with general corporate work and capital markets transactions preferred. Strong drafting and communication skills, business‑development aptitude, and excellent interpersonal skills. Positive attitude and exceptional work ethic. Strong academic credentials; a JD from an ABA‑accredited law school; active member in good standing of the California Bar. Salary The expected salary range for this position is between $260,000 - $390,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, experience, internal pay equity at Foley, and other job‑related factors permitted by law.
