About the Practice
This Visiting Specialty Clinic provides both staff and space for a variety of Corewell Health medical specialty providers. Current services include Sleep Medicine, Surgical Optimization, Cardiology, Psychiatry, AFib, and Addiction Medicine, all utilizing the shared clinic environment. Staff in this setting must be highly adaptable and capable of multitasking, with strong proficiency in obtaining vital signs and completing accurate documentation.
Effective communication, teamwork, and flexibility are essential to ensure seamless coordination among multiple specialties and to support high-quality patient care. Staff must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with varying workflows, provider expectations, and patient needs, while maintaining efficiency and professionalism.
About Outpatient Clinics
Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.
Scope of Work
Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Provider or Registered Nurse (RN) in the examination and treatment of patients to facilitate clinic flow and provide excellent patient care. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and policies; communicate observations to members of the health care team. It will also include rooming patients, collecting vitals, and assisting in minor office procedures. EPIC In basket work. Processing FMLA and short-term Disability work. Answering phones.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
- Previous experience with taking vitals and EKG's Preferred
