Advanced Practice - Critical Care

Job Details:

• Provide critical care APP coverage for PM shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)


• Work clinically in the ICU while MD is on call


• Manage a patient volume of 12 patients


• Support staff includes MDs and APPs


• Must be able to perform special procedures including intubations, central line placements, and arterial line placements


• Must provide case logs from the past 24 months; special privileges such as intubation, arterial lines, thoracentesis, paracentesis, CVC, hemodialysis, chest tube, and thoracentesis require at least 10 cases in the past 24 months or director supervision for at least the first 10 procedures


• Must hold a Tennessee license and Tennessee DEA (or easily transferrable DEA) at time of presentation


• Must be Board Certified


• Must have BLS and ACLS certifications
