Job description
This Project Manager / Senior Project Manager role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact healthcare renovation projects within fully operational hospital environments. You'll oversee project teams, manage complex logistics, and ensure seamless delivery in mission-critical settings that demand precision and professionalism. Client Details This fast-growing general contractor specializes in highly technical construction projects within sensitive, always-active environments where safety, planning, and execution are paramount. Their work centers on renovations that require collaboration, discretion, and an exceptional level of detail, making them a trusted partner for major institutions across the region. With a strong foundation and a clear growth trajectory, the company is expanding into new markets while maintaining a close-knit, entrepreneurial culture. Highlights: ~40 employees and growing steadily Expanding footprint across Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Richmond Long-term partnerships with major healthcare systems Strong backlog of repeat clients in a recession-resistant sector Description Lead healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through closeout Manage project budgets, schedules, and overall financial performance Oversee field teams, superintendents, and subcontractors Coordinate work in active hospital environments with minimal disruption Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders Enforce strict safety, cleanliness, and operational protocols Drive project planning, problem-solving, and risk mitigation Mentor junior team members and support team development Profile 3-5+ years of Project Management experience (PM level) 5+ years and strong leadership experience (Senior PM level) Commercial construction experience; healthcare preferred Experience working in occupied or sensitive environments is a plus Richmond candidates: must have extensive inpatient hospital renovation experience Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and schedules successfully Strong communication skills and professionalism in high-stakes settings Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in growth and long-term opportunity Job Offer Competitive compensation: PM: $100K-$130K Senior PM: $130K-$150K $500/month vehicle allowance EZ-Pass reimbursement Health insurance (54% employer-paid, starts Day 1) Dental and vision plans available HSA contributions: $2,500 individual / $5,000 family 401(k) with company match PTO (2-3 weeks, being enhanced based on tenure) 7 paid holidays Strong long-term growth and leadership exposure MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
