Universal Banker (Bank Teller) Position Summary Front‑line client ambassador for Centier providing banking services in a branch environment. Cross‑trained to perform teller and customer service tasks, maintain accurate cash handling, and promote bank products. Key Responsibilities Provide high‑quality, friendly, and professional service to clients. Build rapport, identify client needs, recommend and explain solutions, and solicit business. Perform teller transactions: accept deposits, loan payments, verify cash and endorsements, cash checks within limits, issue money orders, check for checks, redeem savings bonds, and maintain a balanced drawer. Ensure compliance with BSA/AML/OFAC regulations and report suspicious activity. Resolve client problems and complaints efficiently. Assist with currency shipments, vault, ATM balancing, and other branch cash management tasks. Conduct client onboarding and outbound follow‑up calls for sales opportunities. Support branch sales goals, communicate progress, and participate in the branch’s servant‑sales process. Maintain a professional appearance, clean work area, and adhere to dress and clean‑desk policies. Attend volunteer activities, online learning, and training to support career growth and community involvement. Mentor junior associates and support new teller onboarding. Available to work evenings, weekends, and occasionally other branches. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 6 months of customer‑service or cash‑handling experience desired. Banking experience is a plus but not required. Skills and Experience Proficient with PC software (Windows, Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Ability to verify authenticity of currency and balance cash drawers. Excellent team and client communication skills. Consultative selling and problem‑solving abilities. Adaptability to new technology, system conversions, and software rollouts. Ability to collaborate with business partners (Investment Services, Mortgage, Business Banking). Experience training new associates (branch teller mentor) is a plus.
