About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight and management of the day-to-day operations of the Equal Employment Opportunity Investigations Unit, the Reasonable Accommodations Unit, and the Training Unit. This includes direct supervision of the unit directors, planning, developing, and managing EEO programs, staff, investigations, and related administrative duties to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and policies. The role also involves reviewing, updating, and implementing EEO policies, conducting root cause and trend analysis, advising leadership on EEO matters, and preparing required EEO reports. Applicants for the Executive Director position must have a legal background, with admission to the New York State Bar and a minimum of four years of legal experience, including at least 18 months in a supervisory role. The role requires a candidate who is a member of the New York State Bar in good standing and is committed to fostering an inclusive and cooperative workplace culture. Responsibilities also include conducting and supervising internal EEO investigations, providing policy guidance on employment practices, and delivering EEO-related training. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of EEO laws and be adept at mentoring staff, drafting compliance reports, and supporting strategic initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion within the organization.
