About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President, Biostatistics to play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational leadership of its biometrics functions. The successful candidate will be the principal statistical authority, providing expert oversight and guidance on statistical methodologies, study designs, and data-driven decision-making. This role demands a leader with a PhD or MS in biostatistics, statistics, or a related discipline, and a minimum of 15 years' experience in biotech or pharmaceutical R&D, with a strong preference for those with a background in cell therapy. The VP will be responsible for defining and leading the long-term vision for biostatistics and data management, influencing clinical development strategies, and ensuring the highest standards of statistical excellence and regulatory readiness. Key responsibilities for the Vice President, Biostatistics include strategic leadership, vision, and organizational structure for the biometrics function, as well as the recruitment, development, and scaling of a high-performing biostatistics and data management team. The role also involves cross-functional partnership, particularly with clinical development, operations, regulatory, and medical affairs, to drive integrated decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading biostatistics teams, shaping statistical strategy for clinical trials, and influencing executive stakeholders. Technical expertise in global regulatory expectations, data standards, and inspection readiness is essential, as is a collaborative, strategic, and execution-oriented leadership style.
