Holyoke Medical Center is a proud 219-bed community hospital that has served the healthcare needs of the pioneer valley for over 125 years. We continue to grow and address the needs of our community through quality and patient centered care. Our Environmental Services team is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable person to join our team. This position will assist with the upkeep and appearance of outdoor areas by performing a variety of general maintenance duties, weather permitting. This position will also assist in caring for every area in the hospital environment through our detailed cleaning and disinfection. The experience of our patients and the hospital staff is most important to us. Applicants must have: a passion for caring about a community through quality work in a stand-alone hospital. A drive for learning new practices to be able to adapt to our rapidly changing department. A willingness to offer new ideas to the team to help with our culture of continuous improvement. The ability to keep our internal clients informed of what you are doing and how long tasks will take. Teamwork mentality requirements: high school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to speak English and follow verbal instructions; previous housekeeping experience preferred.
