This classification involves accounting work in the maintenance and review of fiscal records and controls.
Analyzes statistical, fiscal, and payroll records and reports of the department to determine the cost of operations of various activities. Participates in the routine accounting functions of posting, reconciling and preparing special reports. Oversees Accounting Clerks and Cashiers for daily financial activities. Assists in the preparation of budget estimates and reviews encumbrances as to availability of funds. Performs a wide variety of clerical/accounting-related tasks. Performs related work as required.
Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written, and visual communication.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. One (1) year of experience in the maintenance of accounting records. One (1) year experience working with computer spreadsheet and database programs. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Outlook required.
Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
