Community Outreach Specialist
Provides community outreach coordination and works as part of a team with other administrative staff to support activities for the region President and Relationship Managers. Essential duties and responsibilities include cultivating and managing nonprofit partnerships, documenting and processing corporate sponsorships and charitable community investments, developing and deepening relationships within the market through community organizations, non-profits, and governmental agencies, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with community and nonprofit partners, providing exceptional customer service for incoming telephone calls and clients coming into the bank, scheduling and organizing meetings, travel, conferences and department activities for all members of the region, performing duties such as maintaining Salesforce data, financial record keeping, coordination of meetings and conferences, ordering supplies, and working on special projects, acting as project manager for special projects, which may include organizing client events, planning and coordinating multiple presentations, disseminating information and coordinating direct mailings, answering non-routine correspondence and assembling highly confidential and sensitive information, sorting and distributing mail, drafting written response or replies by phone or email when necessary, acting as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including IT, Facilities and HR, handling confidential and non-routine information and explaining policies when necessary, working independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects, including organizing and manning outreach events, and performing other duties as required.
Qualifications include being team-oriented, possessing a positive attitude and working well with others, having excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, being able to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and work independently, having strong organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy, having strong written and oral communication skills, having strong math and problem solving skills, and maintaining confidentiality of client transactions and bank records. A good phone voice with a professional and well-groomed appearance is also required.
Education and/or experience of three to five years of related experience, an Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or three to five years related experience and/or training is preferred. Skilled in operation of a personal computer, including Microsoft Office, Bankway Salesforce, Google Mail, and Kadince.
