Quality & Compliance Generalist

The Quality and Compliance Generalist will serve as a key point of contact for Hub regarding all stewardship compliance and process quality needs. Lead and coordinate quality, stewardship, compliance, and continuous improvement processes / programs. Implement and sustain these programs across the Hub achieving operational efficiency and maintaining license to operate. Work collaboratively with Hub leadership team to define and support these programs across all capability homes on site. Support work teams on-site to prepare for and execute on Management of Change, process improvements, non-conformities, and stewardship requirements.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities include :
- Develop strong quality, compliance and continuous improvement culture at Hub.
- Direct, train and assess Site Responsible Researchers (SRRs) and other personnel as necessary to conduct audits, gain all external certifications and accreditations and assure adherence to quality and compliance policies, processes, and requirements.
- Develop, analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to quality, stewardship, compliance and continuous improvement in a shared tracking system.
- Engage in processes related to product quality in cooperation with management and other stakeholders including but not limited to Stewardship, Quality / GQA Labs, Regional Quality teams, and other Capability Centers within Global Breeding.
- Aid in the development of site outcomes / roadmaps, KPI's, employee agreements, and actively facilitate the execution of them.
- Support site leadership through coordination of strategic meetings and site wide communications (such as townhalls, site briefings, event activation / planning, and email communications).
- Participate in the onboarding process to ensure new hires are integrated smoothly and effectively.
- Influence change in our Dynamic work environment by fully embracing leadership principles and change management techniques.
- Ensure both change and risk management requirements and tools are being utilized, advise teams on evaluating process improvements, monitor implementation progress through tracking system to sustain continuous improvement and meet quality standards.
- Develop network of resources across sites, crops and functions, sharing best practices and creating value for the business
- Develop Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Lean principles and promote continuous improvement
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years work-related experience OR High School Diploma and 10 years of applicable experience.Ability to lead and work cohesively as a team member; interacting and building positive working relationships within the organization and across other functional groups and departments.Demonstrated ability to clearly present information and influence others through oral / written communications & work with people / teams to build high morale & commitment to goals.Capability to recognize when there is a need for change and act as a change agent to develop novel solutions to problems.Skilled at leading, influencing, managing conflict and negotiating with cross-functional teams.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Must have availability to meet overtime demands, including occasional work on weekends and holidays.Employees can expect to be paid a salary of $87,832.80 - 131,749.20 per year. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
