Job Summary Reporting to the Director, Solutions Engineering, the Solutions Engineer II is responsible for providing solution engineering support to all field resources including Account Executives, Strategic Account Managers, and Global Solutions Sales Executives. The role requires a strong understanding of SD‑WAN, Managed Security Services, data networking protocols (SIP, RTP, HTTP/S, SNMP, BGP, OSPF, QoS), and SD‑WAN and SASE design principles. The Solutions Engineer works independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating the ability to lead projects and initiatives autonomously. The role is virtual with up to 25% travel and requires residency in the Eastern Standard Time Zone. Core Responsibilities Provide solution engineering support for field resources and lifecycle sustaining engineering support (discovering, solution and proposal). Handle moves, adds and changes (MACD) and provide sustaining engineering support for large complex solutions. Support account development activities and capture customer technical requirements, translating them into internal architecture templates. Collaborate with the product team on new product requirements, integrations, defect resolution, and load/stress/fail‑over testing for high‑availability deployments. Work with customers to address issues, resolve problems pre‑ and post‑production, and drive continuous technical improvement internally and with customers. Cultivate and guide technical decisions with customers to design or improve solutions. Oversee technical implementation for customer deployment projects and participate in client implementation planning to ensure seamless integration or turn‑up of Comcast Business Global services. Provide technical fulfillment and answer questions related to RFI’s, RFQ’s and RFP’s for Comcast Business Global services. Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; be able to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a network Solutions Engineer or related role. Strong understanding of SD‑WAN and SASE design principles. Experience with VoIP and data networking protocols (SIP, RTP, HTTP/S, SNMP, BGP, OSPF, QoS). Proven ability to work independently and lead projects. Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reside on the East Coast of the U.S. and able to travel up to 25% annually. Targeted commission: $70,000.00. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards, with eligibility for commission, bonus, and best‑in‑class benefits for eligible employees.
