Come join our team! Mobius is seeking a RCOH SQL Developer / Database Administrator.

In this role the Developer / Database Administrator serves as a SQL Developer providing support for the SUPSHIP Newport News Planning Team. This position will be co-located with the SUPSHIP-NN RCOH project team. This position requires an energetic candidate that can coordinate multiple tasks while operating in a high ops tempo environment. This position will be onsite in Newport News VA and is 100% onsite.

Duties of a Developer / Database Administrator may include:

• Provide Structured Query Language (SQL) support services to SUPSHIPNN RCOHproject teams and ensure interoperability across legacy and modern data platforms.
• Maintain enhance develop and troubleshoot issues/bugs in existing Accessapplications and vintage Microsoft Access accdb databases.
• Maintain and administer SQL Server databases including backups tuning modifyingexisting tables/queries security and managing user accounts.
• Design develop repair and optimize SQL database-driven applications while ensuringstrict compliance with data integrity and Cybersecurity requirements.
• Work closely with Contracting Officers Planning Manager(s) and application users toensure required functionality of existing code evaluate/recommend software solutionsand develop new features.
• Convert Access SQL statements into SQL server syntax design GUI forms in Access anddebug code using VBA.
• Improve the security features of Access applications and assist SUPSHIP with theAuthority to Operate (ATO) process when necessary.
• Incorporate software versioning and utilize software version control systems forexisting applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years of relevant experience with aircraft carrier maintenance andoperations shipbuilding/ship repair business analysis. Equivalent experience withother fleet assets will be considered.
• Previous IT development experience.
• Working knowledge of MS SQL Server (12.0 and above) and vintage Microsoft Access databasesr
• Fundamental understanding of SUPSHIP workflow and the use of Government acronyms to facilitate communication.
• Working knowledge of software version control system(s).
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of MS Excel Access PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to design forms (GUI) and debug code (VBA) in Access.
• Must possess Security or equivalent certification.
• SQL server certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Project / Program Management experience.
• Former US Navy Chief Petty Officer Chief Warrant Officer or Limited Duty Officer.
• Experience working with or at a shipyard Naval Surface/Undersea Warfare Center(NSWC/NUWC) Supervisor of Shipbuilding Command (SUPSHIP) RegionalMaintenance Center (RMC) and/or Type Commander (TYCOM).
• Working knowledge of AWS is preferred.

Education

• Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university preferred

Clearance

• Active SECRET Security Clearance is required (or must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance or above).
