The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of cloud-based applications while working collaboratively with senior engineers, architects, and government stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern web technologies, cloud-native services, and emerging AI capabilities in a secure Department of Defense environment.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications using modern front-end and back-end technologiesDevelop responsive, user-friendly interfaces using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSSBuild and maintain backend services and APIs using PythonDesign, develop, and optimize relational database solutions using PostgreSQL or similar database platformsDeploy and support applications within AWS cloud environments utilizing services such as EC2, S3, and LambdaCollaborate with architects, developers, and system administrators to implement scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutionsParticipate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance optimization effortsSupport application deployments and software releases through established CI/CD and DevSecOps processesTroubleshoot production issues and provide technical support as neededCreate and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and operational proceduresEnsure applications comply with government security requirements and organizational coding standardsRequired Qualifications:Clearance Requirement:Active Secret Security ClearanceSoftware Development:Two (2) to four (4) years of professional software development or software engineering experienceStrong proficiency in React for developing modern web applicationsStrong programming skills in TypeScript and JavaScriptExperience developing backend services using PythonExperience designing and consuming RESTful APIsFamiliarity with modern software development practices, including version control (Git), code reviews, and Agile development methodologiesDatabase & Cloud Technologies:Experience working with PostgreSQL or other relational database management systemsWorking knowledge of AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, or similar servicesUnderstanding of cloud application deployment and basic cloud architecture principlesSoft Skills:Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative Agile teamStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced government environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using TerraformExperience developing applications using Next.jsExperience deploying applications into IL6 (Impact Level 6) cloud environmentsFamiliarity with semantic search, semantic enrichment, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutionsExposure to AI-assisted application development or Generative AI technologiesExperience supporting Department of Defense or other Federal Government customersFamiliarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementationMust be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a secret clearanceEducation:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related field.Equivalent combinations of education, technical training, and relevant work experience may be considered.Our Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
