Vice President, Risk & Underwriting Manager – Payments Fast‑paced payments business strengthening risk, compliance, and governance for growing payment programs. About the Company Industry: Financial Services. Type: Privately Held. About the Role The Company is seeking a VP Risk & Underwriting Manager with a focus on payments. The successful candidate will lead governance, risk, and compliance initiatives specifically for ACH and card payment programs. This role requires the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and risk frameworks, and monitoring regulatory changes to ensure compliance with industry requirements. The VP will also coordinate audits, examinations, and risk assessments, and serve as a key partner with legal, operations, and business teams on payment‑related regulatory matters. Responsibilities Lead governance, risk, and compliance initiatives for ACH and card payment programs. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and risk frameworks. Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with industry requirements. Coordinate audits, examinations, and risk assessments. Partner with legal, operations, and business teams on payment‑related regulatory matters. Qualifications Minimum 5 years’ experience in payments, banking, risk, or compliance. Strong knowledge of ACH, card payments, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance. Experience with NACHA rules, Visa/Mastercard regulations, UDAAP, and banking operations. Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Bachelor’s degree preferred. AAP certification a plus.
