About Proficient Auto Logistics

Proficient Auto Logistics (PAL) is a leading specialized freight company focused on providing auto transportation and logistics services. Formed via IPO in May 2024 PAL combined five industry-leading operating companies and has since acquired 2 additional companies for a total of seven. As a combined entity we operate one of the largest auto transportation fleets in North America with over 1200 trucks 50 terminal locations and 800 employees a majority of whom are drivers. We offer a broad range of auto transportation and logistics services primarily focused on transporting finished vehicles from automotive production facilities marine ports of entry or regional rail yards to auto dealerships around the country. We have developed a differentiated business model due to our scale breadth of geographic coverage and embedded customer relationships with leading auto original equipment manufacturing companies (OEMs).

Job Summary

This position is for a Rate Manager responsible for the administration maintenance and strategic management of all rate tables within the companys IT systems. This role ensures the accuracy integrity and security of the rate data used for financial operations including client billing subhauler payments and payroll. This manager works with the IT team finance and operations to ensure rates are aligned with business strategy and function correctly within enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have both EDI and Magnus experience and the ability to quickly adapt to the differences in PAL Operating Company configurations. They will play a critical role in ensuring the application meets organizational needs and delivers a seamless user experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • System Administration: Administer all rate tables across PAL Operating Companies ensuring errors are resolved and OEM payment vouchers are produced.
  • Data Governance: Ensure that all data is accurate up-to-date and follows all internal controls and compliance requirements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with finance and operations to understand business requirements and translate them into functional rate table updates.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Develop and provide reports to ensure data accuracy.
  • Change Management: Manage all change requests for rate tables ensuring updates are properly tested and communicated to relevant parties.
  • Security and Access Control: Define and manage user permissions to ensure that only authorized personnel can make changes to sensitive rate data.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve data discrepancies or functional issues related to rate tables.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Finance or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in a data management business analysis or system administration role.
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP systems billing software or financial applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) EDI feeds.
  • High sense of urgency and commitment to success.
