Substitute Teacher

JOB GOAL(S):
To motivate each student to acquire the knowledge skills and principles of the days lesson. To assist in achieving no loss in student instruction time in an effort to enhance student learning promote the overall efficiency of the school system and maximize the educational opportunities available to each child.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Building Substitute positions are considered classified employees of the Iowa City Community School District.
Work day consists of eight hours each day in assigned building (or in other buildings on an as needed basis) in various assignments/buildings throughout the district.
ASSIGNMENT LENGTH: 177 days (full school year follow student calendar plus 2 additional days) - Paid hourly
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated periodically by Substitute Services/Human Resources.
