The Senior IT Financial Operations & FinOps Analyst is a senior individual contributor responsible for driving cost transparency, optimization, and architectural cost discipline across applications, infrastructure, cloud, and licensing environments. This role partners closely with Enterprise Architecture, Cloud, Infrastructure, Application, Finance, and Sourcing teams to ensure technology and architectural design decisions account for cost, scalability, licensing impact, and long‑term TCO . The position focuses on run‑the‑business IT financial operations and provides senior‑level insight to support technology strategy and investment decisions. Key Responsibilities Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Engineering to assess cost implications of architectural designs (cloud, hybrid, on‑prem) Evaluate future‑state architectures for cost drivers, scalability tradeoffs, and licensing impact Build financial models to support architecture and modernization decisions Identify cost‑saving opportunities through rightsizing, Reserved Instances/Savings Plans, workload modernization, and automation Apply deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP pricing, billing, and consumption patterns Monitor cloud spend directly in cloud portals to identify anomalies, variances, and trends Partner with Cloud and Infrastructure teams to optimize compute, storage, database, networking, and serverless costs Application & License Cost Management Analyze application TCO , including licensing, hosting, support, and maintenance Identify opportunities to retire, consolidate, modernize, or rationalize applications Assess software licensing usage and models to identify inefficiencies and optimization opportunities Budgeting, Forecasting & Executive Reporting Lead operational IT budgeting and forecasting Perform variance, trend, and driver‑based analysis Build executive‑ready dashboards and present insights to IT and business leadership Support architecture reviews, governance forums, and investment discussions Automate cost reporting and optimization workflows Improve and standardize IT financial operations processes Promote cost awareness and financial discipline across technology teams What This Role Does Not Own Accounting close or general ledger activities Procurement execution or vendor negotiations Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, IT, or related field 5–10+ years experience in IT financial management, FinOps, or cloud cost optimization Demonstrated experience evaluating architectural design decisions with cost and licensing impact Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP pricing and cost drivers Strong financial modeling, analytical, and executive communication skills Preferred Experience with CloudHealth, Cloudability, Flexera CCM Experience with AWS CUR, Azure Cost Management exports, or GCP BigQuery billing data Automation/scripting (Python, PowerShell) Advanced Excel and dashboarding experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
