Job Description Responsible for ownership of technical aspects of financial solutions transactions, including transaction analysis, actuarial modeling, and deal modeling. Other contributions to deals execution include the support of proposal assembly and obtaining internal approvals. In addition, the individual will help colleagues with marketing and management reporting. The financial solutions in scope are full risk transfer transactions of inforce business, as well as reserve/capital financing deals of a remote risk nature. The underlying products include term life, whole life, individual annuities and group life and health business. The transactional nature of the role is deadline‑oriented and will occasionally require unpredictable or extended hours. Over time, the individual will work towards higher level roles within the team, including term sheet drafting, structuring, client interface, and ultimately deal leadership. Responsibilities Detailed actuarial modeling Deal modeling Risk analysis Due diligence of underlying products: Data analysis Assumption review Review client‑supplied projections Support origination efforts: Client research Analysis of potential solutions Presentation preparation Support internal team duties: Inforce monitoring Internal presentations Management reporting Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent Fellow or Associate of the Society of Actuaries At least 5 years of life (re)insurance experience Actuarial Modeling expertise (in AXIS, Prophet, MG‑ALFA and/or other actuarial software) US statutory accounting knowledge Excel‑based modeling experience Strong analytic skills including learning new software and utilizing AI Desirable but not required: Project/transaction experience Reinsurance experience Product development experience Relocation assistance within the U.S. is available for this position. Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future. SCOR employees work 3 days per week in an office with the flexibility to work 2 days per week remotely. Pay Range for roles performed in NC: $135,000-$165,000 base salary per year. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, role and performance. The range listed is just one component of SCOR's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long term incentives.
