About the Role
The Company is in search of a Senior Counsel or Junior Partner with a focus on Healthcare Regulatory law. The successful candidate will be a key advisor on a wide range of regulatory matters, with a particular emphasis on healthcare compliance. This role is pivotal in influencing major healthcare transactions and ensuring that all activities adhere to complex legal frameworks. Key responsibilities include providing expert advice on regulatory, compliance, and enforcement issues, guiding healthcare transactions, and serving as a strategic advisor to clients on regulatory changes and enforcement trends. The role also involves managing and mitigating legal risks, developing training programs, and fostering strong client relationships. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, a minimum of 10 years' experience in healthcare regulatory law, and be admitted to the New Jersey Bar (with New York Bar admission being advantageous). In-depth knowledge of Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, Medicare/Medicaid, and corporate practice regulations is essential, as is experience in advising healthcare providers and systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in handling government investigations, have a strong understanding of healthcare privacy laws, and possess exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and judgment skills. An entrepreneurial spirit with a proven track record in business development is also a key qualification for this role.
